Terms of Service
Last updated: April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FlightGlucose (the "Service") at diabetessimulations.com, operated by Diabetes Simulations ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
FlightGlucose is an interactive educational simulation that teaches insulin management concepts through a flight-game metaphor. It is provided "as is" for educational purposes only.
2. Medical Disclaimer
FlightGlucose is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care. The simulation models are simplified for teaching purposes and do not reflect the full complexity of any individual's diabetes. Never make changes to your insulin therapy, diet, or medical care based on this Service. Always consult your licensed healthcare provider for clinical decisions.
3. Free and Paid Tiers
The "Free to Learn" tier is available without payment, account, or registration. Premium scenarios, completion certificates, and classroom tools are available through paid subscriptions ("Learner" and "Educator").
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Subscriptions are billed by Stripe Inc. ("Stripe") on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
- You authorise us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period at the rate displayed at checkout.
- Prices are listed in USD and exclude taxes, which Stripe may collect according to your jurisdiction.
- You can cancel anytime from the Stripe customer portal linked in your receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Educator subscriptions are sold per-seat. The seat quantity is selected at checkout and may be adjusted via the customer portal.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: monthly subscriptions are eligible for a 14-day no-questions refund; annual subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund within 14 days of purchase.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in a way that could harm patients, including representing simulation results as medical guidance.
- Resell, sublicense, or share paid-tier access beyond the seat count purchased.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate the Service except as expressly permitted.
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
7. Intellectual Property
FlightGlucose, including its content, code, graphics, and clinical scenarios, is owned by Diabetes Simulations or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Paid subscriptions grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the Service. The Educator tier additionally grants a limited classroom-display licence within the seat count purchased.
8. User Content
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or clinical corrections, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the Service. You retain all rights to your own content.
9. Disclaimers of Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diabetes Simulations and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Diabetes Simulations from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, including any claim alleging that simulation outputs were used as medical advice.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. You may terminate by cancelling your subscription and discontinuing use.
